Salary: £26,500 per annum to start
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:15 – 17:00
Friday: 08:15 – 16:00
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join a friendly and supportive team.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in doing things properly, has a good eye for detail and is happy to use their own initiative. Previous warehouse experience would be useful, but it isn't essential, as full training will be provided.
The right attitude is most important; someone who is keen to learn, willing to get stuck in and has the drive to take responsibility for their work. Accuracy is particularly important within this role, as you will be responsible for ensuring orders, deliveries and stock records are processed correctly.
Warehouse Operative Job Description:
Working as part of their friendly warehouse team, your responsibilities will include:
Picking and packing customer orders accurately and ensuring products meet the required quality standards.
Recording orders and stock movements correctly on internal systems.
Receiving incoming deliveries, unloading goods and checking items against delivery notes and invoices.
Inspecting incoming products for damage or discrepancies.
Storing and organising stock in the correct warehouse locations.
Assisting with regular stock checks and general inventory control.
Preparing, loading and dispatching goods for delivery.
Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and well organised.
Using pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment where required.
What We're Looking For:
You don't necessarily need years of warehouse experience. We are looking for somebody who can demonstrate:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Basic IT skills and confidence updating records and systems.
The ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
A willingness to undertake manual warehouse duties.
An interest in learning to use warehouse machinery and equipment, with training provided where required.
